Free plan and entry cost

Kimi documents a free tier with a limited shared credit pool. Free users can unlock more credit by upgrading; when credits run out, tasks already in progress finish but new tasks wait for more credit.

How to read the total cost

• Current overseas membership creditsThe current Plus, Pro, Max, and Ultra USD cards advertise more, 2x, 5x and 10x agent credits respectively, without stating absolute agent-credit or database-call quantities. Check the membership terms before purchase.
• Current overseas membership feature limitsDisplayed scheduled-task limits are 10, 15, 20, and 25 across Plus, Pro, Max, and Ultra; widget-task limits are the same. Project limits are 20, 20, 100, and 100, with 20GB, 20GB, 50GB, and 50GB of project storage. Agent Swarm limits are 2, 4, 8, and 8 concurrent subtasks. K3 extra-long chat up to 1M tokens is listed for Max and Ultra; Goal mode and Kimi Claw start with Pro.
• Membership cloud servicesKimi Claw uses about 0.6% of membership credits per day for cloud hosting while enabled. Agent Website uses about 0.08% of membership credits for cloud services. Kimi labels both deductions approximate because actual usage can vary.
• Extra UsageExtra Usage is available only to subscribers. Subscription credits are used first; Extra Usage can take over when those credits are exhausted or rate-limited. Minimum Extra Usage recharge is $10; limits are 10 recharges and $1,000 total per day, with a $2,000 balance cap. Funds do not expire. After a subscription lapses, the balance remains spendable but cannot be recharged until the subscription is reactivated. Recharges are generally non-refundable and non-transferable except where required by law.
• API billing and web searchAPI prices exclude applicable taxes. Current REST tools cost $0.002 per successful Web Search Basic call, $0.003 per successful Web Search Pro call, and $0.002 per successful URL Fetch call; failed or empty responses are free and model tokens are separate. The built-in $web_search tool is legacy, costs $0.005 when it returns finish_reason=tool_calls, and is expected to be deprecated October 20, 2026.
• API funding and rate limitsMinimum standard API recharge is $1. At $5 in cumulative recharge, Kimi issues a $5 voucher; vouchers do not count toward cumulative recharge. Public tiers 0-5 publish cumulative-recharge thresholds, concurrency, RPM, TPM, TPD and Web Search QPS; Search Basic and Search Pro QPS are independent of chat limits and each other.
• Allowance and billing qualificationsAgent task concurrency is 1/2/2/2/4 for Free/Plus/Pro/Max/Ultra. Paid Swarm limits are 2/4/8/8 subtasks. These are not API concurrency. Credits are stated as relative multipliers, not absolute pools.
• Subscription evidence scopeExact overseas USD monthly charges, annual equivalents and annual invoices are unavailable (UNVERIFIED) in the retained evidence. The Chinese CNY Andante/Moderato/Allegretto/Allegro lineup is a separate regional offer. No checkout verification or invoice arithmetic is asserted. Absolute agent-credit pools remain unpublished.
• Kimi Code plan scopeNew lineup: Go / Plus / Pro / Max / Ultra. Legacy: Andante / Moderato / Allegretto / Allegro. Only legacy plans have a weekly Code quota. The Code error reference requires Plus+ for K3 and Pro+ for up to 1M context and high-speed kimi-for-coding.
